Grayson was born on March 6th at 9:48 p.m. I was running late to meet some friends for dinner (we took EmK to the doctor last minute for an ear infection) and as I was just about to walk into the restaurant my water broke. I made a quick call to my sister who tried to tell me it was in deed my water even though I tried to say it wasn't. After telling my friend and calling Jordan, I went into a little panic because I didn't have all my stuff packed. She offered to go back to my house to finish up my list and I drove myself to the hospital. I was only a few blocks away. I was nervous to be checked because at this point I have everyone rushing to get to me and or take care of EmK and if it was a false alarm I was going to feel silly. About 20 minutes after my water broke the contractions started at 4 minutes apart and I knew immediately I wasn't wrong about my water breaking. Jordan arrived shortly after me at the hospital and after about 3 hours Grayson was born. I think I did a lot better with labor this go around...it helped that I didn't allow myself to watch the clock constantly. I got nervous that I wouldn't get my epidural in time....I was 7.5cm by the time the doctor arrived. After the epidural everything when really fast! I wonder if I could have made it the entire way, but I had an hour to go and that would have been a very long hour:) I don't have a lot of pictures of Grayson in the hospital because he spent almost all his time under the light because his billi ribbon counts were high. We came home Friday morning and have been enjoying every second. EmK is doing well as a big sister. She has LOTS of questions. She LOVES pushing him in his stroller (which slows down our trips but is fun to watch) and likes to hold him and rub his head.
