FIRST DAY - MDO

Emily Kathryn started school on September 5th.  Jordan was out of town for work and thanks to help from Lulu we successfully made it to school on time.  I wanted to snap a few pictures before we left for the day.  EmK isn't always cooperative when it comes to taking her picture...and most days is only interested if I'm trying to take Grayson's picture.  She wanted to "pick" a flower for the photo shoot but the only thing around was a crate myrtle tree.

EmK is going to school MWF and she does carpool.  I still almost cry when I drop her off in the mornings and I watch her throw her bag on her shoulder and walk down the sidewalk to her classroom.  I told Jordan he would have to take off work the first week of school because I might cry every morning.  I want her to be independent but it's so hard to watch.  Time just passes too quickly!  She seems to really love her teacher Mrs. Kasey.  She gets to take ballet at school on Wednesdays and she is very inquisitive about which day she gets to go (plus she thinks it's a treat to get to stay and eat lunch at school).  It's fun to see how her personality and interaction at school has changed in just a year.  She is a lot more descriptive in telling about her day and it's fun hear her tell me about all that she is learning.

September

I know it's blogging overload on my site.  Here are some great shots from September.

We put on this ENTIRE outfit just to go get dinner at Newk's

....and we just could not stay awake on the way home!

Grayson started sitting in his highchair for the first time.  He really loves sitting up.  I fill the tray with toys and he will play and watch everyone.

Emily Kathryn got to go all by herself to Hannah Grace's house.  It was her first time to go to a friend's house without me.  I thought she might be shy but she jumped in Shannon's car and never looked back.  I know it was a fun day for both of them:)

LOVE:)

Visiting Memme's house while Jordan was out of town for work

Watching Elizabeth cheer -- I can't believe she is already 12.  She has such a special place in my heart.  I was lucky enough to spend the first 6 months of her life at home and I held her just about every day:)

I drove up one afternoon to find the boys hanging out.  I thought it was so cute:)

I can't believe almost 7 months have passed....time slow down!

A Busy August

Here's a recap of August in pictures.....

The Murphy Family spent an entire week at the beach.  Jordan had to work in Montana the first part of the week but joined us at the end.

(Charlie and Elizabeth "borrowed" my phone and filled it with pictures of themselves)

G napped by the pool a lot:)

(I also learned how to use Instgram thanks to my niece)

Got a pedicure for my 34th birthday and EmK went with me...she LOVES having her hair in a ponytail!  When I go to fix her hair she will say "I just want one ponytail in the back".

We headed to Atlanta for a long weekend with the Barrow Family - we ate lots of great food, stayed at the Ritz, and did a little shopping at Scott's

Traveled to Memee and Peppie's one last time for Labor Day

5 Months / 6 Months

5 MONTHS - It's hard to remember all the moments of each month when you blog late:( The biggest thing I remember about this month is that G really seemed to get on some type of schedule.  He started napping twice a day and I could pretty much know the times based on when he got up in the morning.  It's funny how each child has their own routine.  Grayson puts himself to sleep but you almost always have to go in one time after laying him down.  I usually go in, put his paci back in and rub his back for a minute.  This is also the month that G stopped letting me rock him to sleep....I did it as long as he would allow.  I loved that time with him.

6 MONTHS - I forgot the onesie but we at least had a photo shoot close to the day:)  Don't you love how EmK is trying to help G smile.  He actually thinks she's VERY funny but will likely change his mind when he realizes that she's not very willing to share her toys.  Grayson is such a happy baby. We went to the doctor this month and G went from 10% percentile in weight at 4 months to 80% percentile.  He's close to 20 pounds already (2 pounds more than Emily Kathryn at his age).  I love every single roll.  He even has creases on his wrist:)  Grayson is also a GREAT traveler...both my kids are.  I guess it's because I start them at an early age traveling back and forth to my parents.  If I time feeding him right before we leave, I can make it all 4 hours without stopping.  I also have to have treats for EmK and make sure we skip drinks while traveling, but even so I think that's pretty good.  He's very content in his car seat....maybe it's because he can watch Emily Kathryn from his seat.  Ether way I'm VERY thankful as I've been traveling a lot lately because Jordan has had to be out of town a lot for work.  G still doesn't have any teeth and he is almost sitting up.  He only lasts a few seconds before he falls over.  He's rolling back and forth and likes to sleep on his stomach most of the time.  We started putting Grayson in his exersaucer and jumperoo and he LOVES both.  He loves jumping and I put in front of our glass door so he can look outside.
